Airport Help

by KBibb

I will be arriving in Paris at CDG at Terminal 1 and need to meet friends who will be arriving about 30 minutes later and they will be arriving at Terminal 2A. What is the best place to connect with them? Is there one common customs area or waiting area for the 2 terminals? Thanks for you help.

At Airport Paris-Charles de Gaulle, you can easily meet near the Information Desks "Aéroports de Paris" at Arrivals Level in each terminal. Meeting areas are called "Points de rencontre".

Before you decide who meets who in which Terminal, here's basic info you need:

RER B train (a regional metro) links Paris-CDG with Paris City and suburb.
RER station "Aéroport CDG" serves Terminals 1 and 3.
RER station "Aéroport CDG2-TGV" serves Terminal 2 ABCDEF & G

Terminal 2G is linked to Terminal 2C (Gate 4) by free shuttle N3 (15min.) (You shouldn't need this but here it is anyway.)

Allow 50 minutes (RER) between Paris-Châtelet les Halles station to Aéroport Paris-CDG
Cost 8.40 Euros, Navigo Pass 1-5 accepted

Terminals 2A, 2B, 2D, 2E, 2F are accessible on moving carpets
For 2A and 2B, Airport suggests using Shuttle Line 1
For Terminals 1 and 3, take free shuttle CDGVAL

Since your friends arrive AFTER you, you may be safer to agree to meet at the Point de Rencontre in Terminal 2A.
There you can take the RER CDG2-TGV into Paris, or other transport.
Of course, as you see above, you can also take the RER Aéroport CDG from Terminal 1, if that's where you choose to meet.

Hope this helps :)

hi Sesuna,
I think you may have posted in the wrong Forum. Sorry I don't know about rebates. Good luck!

There is a cafe, Les Saisons, in the Sheraton Hotel which is built right at Terminal 2. yOu can take a free shuttle from terminal 1 to terminal 2. The RER B line is also very close to the hotel. Karl

Travel Tips for Paris

visit the Eifel Tower. And go...

by soxdcat

visit the Eifel Tower. And go all the way to the top, the feeling of being free and living life is definitely worth this trip. Also, try the Tower in the evening around ten oclock or so. They illuminate it with hundreds of lights and it lights up the entire evening. The entire trip is a fond memory for me. But if I must choose it would have to be what my tour guide reffered to as the 'Illumination Tour'. That is when we went to the Eifel tower at night and it lit up like a giant christmas tree with hundreds of flashing white lights. It was the perfect evening, the cool wind was blowing lightly as the amazing show took place.

View OF Montmartre

by shrimp56

Montmartre and Sacre Coeur are very visible from many places in Paris. This picture was taken from the terrace at Musee d'Orsay in the 7th.
.
Another great spot is at the top of the escalators at Centre Pompideau in the Marais.
.
And you can see Sacre Coeur from the RER train coming in from Charles de Gaulle Airport. That's when I know I'm really in Paris!

IXth - Modern art ??

by Maillekeukeul

Sometimes, Paris looks similar to any city in the world... Indeed, it has also been victim of the famous "crazy-tagger", a serial inker-penciler who can't help filling the blanks on the walls.... The last "crime scene" is situated Place Pigalle...

Zero de Conduite

by Ipanema_Princess

At the bar "Zero de Conduite", all the drinks are served in baby bottles !
You'll see it will take you a little time to get used to it again but it's fun.
You can order cocktails that are all named atfer cartoons and also some sweets.
Everything is made to make you fell like a kid again.

You can also play board games such as Trivial Pursuit, Pictionnary... so it's funnier if you go with a group of friends.

Be careful, the place is very small so it's almost compulsory to make a booking.
