£35 per person per night.
For the price, this 3 star plus hotel didn't offer much. A tiny breakfasting room, tiny bar, luxurious green leather sofas in lounge area. The room was small, double bed, safe, small wardrobe space, tv with too many sports channels for my liking and a window that actually opened and closed.
The reception staff spoke very good English, there was no need for me to unleash my schoolgirl French upon them but I did so anyhow.
At night, you pressed a buzzer at the hotel door to enter. There is CCTV coverage at reception.
Hotel is in a very quiet pebbled side street.
The Balmoral Hotel is 200 yards from Arc de Triomphe which strangely we never did visit.
There was a McDonald's (hooray) just 5 min walk from our hotel on Avenue Wagram, 2 streets away. They sell takeaway beer.
You see, being a vegetarian, I couldn't find anything to eat at any of the restaurants in or around the Champs Elysees. Once I had a wee bowl of french onion soup which cost the equivalent of £4 English.
