Try Hotel Bonaparte which is in St. Germain, excellent location and close to the Latin Qtr. It's one of few inexpensive hotels with a/c. It's got no website and no email address, just word about mouth good comments. Check the comments on Tripadvisor.com. Phone # is 01-43-26-97-37
Fax # 01-46-33-57-67

Also try Hotel Muguet but it's in the 7th near the Invalides and rue Cler. http://www.paris-hotel-muguet.com/English/TheHotel1.htm

It's very difficult to find a Parisian hotel that offers a/c for your budget btw.

Try Hotel Saint Dominique, in the 7th..it is centrally located, it is a charming 2 stars hotel with a wonderful little patio, very nice during summer...It has been newly renovated, it is very clean...!

Try the Hotel beausejour Montmartre, http://www.hbeausejour.com/, it is a nice 2 stars hotel located near Montmartre and the sacre coeur. The hotel was newly renovated last year. There is a nice garden in the hotel where you can have breakfast in summer. The hotel is quite confortable and located in a calm street. It is a great hotel. Prices are really good for this hotel.

Any 'high end' Hostels in Paris?

by blueshirt

Looking for one that is a bit more "high end", possibly private room/bath. No curfew. Willing to pay more for it. Just don't see the purpose of spending hotel prices when we have no intention of being in the hotel that much. Thanks.

If you're looking for "high end" hostels, I'd recommend looking at two star hotels. The cost is about the same and you will have your private room and bath.

We always reserve on http://www.france.com and you can check prices, locations, see photos and read reviews by people who have stayed there. Use the hotel search function or you can click on "hostels" on the right hand side of your screen and check the hostels too. Check both and chose what seems to suit you.

Hotel de la Sorbonne is in the Latin Quarter, near three Metro lines, the Luxembourg Gardens, Cluny Museum, St. Germain, etc. and is only 80 euros a night double. That's a pretty good deal. We've stayed there and the staff is wonderful, the location can't be beat and it's clean and quiet.

I stayed at Hotel Du Throne on Nov 20th half a block from Pigalle station ...I think that was the red light district. Sacre Coeur is a few block from there, 4 or 5 maybe more but not to far. The hotel may not be the cleanest, looks like they are renovating. I chose it because we were walking around looking for a place to stay and we saw a truck unloading new mattresses. They were for the hotel....so we booked a room for 3 people and followed the guy with the new mattress all the way to our room. 50 euros with a shower and new mattresses, we had to share the toilet. Don't have much info on it but the street was called Palace du Clichy...or something like that. Staff did not speak english except for one guy who happened to be there when we showed up. I have a picture of the area haven't had time to post it. Decent place to stay ifor guys.
