Stayed here some years ago and was pretty satisfied. Situated just between Gare du nord and Gare de l'est (two of the northern railway stations) and is neither far from Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. Many Metro-lines pass Gare du nord so you can get to central Paris (place de l'opera) in no time.
Nice rooms with TV and own bathroom. Friendly staff and a simple but tasty breakfast. OK standard, no extra facilities in the hotel, but still overall a nice experience.

We're glad we picked this 3-star hotel for our trip. It has smallish but very pleasant and clean rooms.
It came with buffet breakfast and there's a computer with internet in the lobby.
True, you can't cook but you can make it up with the many affordable takeouts in the neighbourhood. There is coffee/tea facility and you can warm some baby food if you need to.
Request for a room with bath, to entertain the kid.
The hotel is near the North Station, and there are a couple of (discreet) sex shops. But it is still a safe area and the sound-proof rooms ensure that you (and your neighbours) can sleep well.
The breakfast is a bonus. We see guests from the next door hotel having to buy baguettes from the boulangerie for breakfast. Make sure your stay includes (free) breakfast.
