Discover Paris walking! by malihas
i walked everywhere!! this was my first trip solo to any country and even though i only know little french, i was able to walk and enjoy my trip throughout this beautiful old city!These are my must-see sites:
1. pere lachaise cemetary
2. walk the entire louvre/palais royal/etc. stretch along the river siene (i didn't want to waste my hour taking the pont neuf cruise..i walked it instead... took me about 8 hours because i kept getting distracted by the life, shops, restaurants)
3. Kong bar ...it's on the 5th floor of the Kenzo boutique at 9 rue pont neuf...it's beautiful
4. the opera (my favourite paris site)
5. versailles
6. louvre (i took about 4 hours to enjoy all i wanted to)
7. rue belleville/rue menilmontant/rue oberkampf... these are all in the same locality gives u a good idea of paris and the mix of cultures
8. shopping in the latin quarter
9. parc buttes chaumont (take a lunch and your MP3 walkman and enjoy this place)
10. notredame cathedral
