When to go by Mar78
Paris has something different to offer no matter which season you visit. I've been in spring, fall, and winter, and it was a completely different experience each time. No matter when you go, always bring layers and a waterproof coat or umbrella, as weather can be unpredictable. Winter can be especially cold, but there's still a lot to do. There's an outdoor ice-skating rink out at Montparnasse that's a great family activity. January also marks the beginning of the biannual "soldes" or sales. You can get some great bargains if you know where to look. Spring is a good time to visit Versailles and all of the parks and gardens. The days are a bit longer, so you have more time to enjoy activities in the daylight.
