This was our 5th time at the hotel, had another great stay rooms clean, breakfast good and staff helpful and friendly. We have always had a good stay here, the area is not quite the best but people are friendly and it is close to Metro stations. Good restaurants close by and will be definately be going back again. Excellent value for money!
I've found a really good deal for this hotel in May but would like to know how far away it is from the centre (is it near a metro station) and also is it in an area that's safe (or at least safe by big city standards) at night?
Thanks in advance,
I guess you are speaking about Holiday Inn Place d'Italie.
It is on the outskirts of Paris but you can reach directly CHATELET, such as the city center, by line 7 in 35 mn including the walk.
Do not miss the rue Mouffetard on Sunday morning during the street market. It is at 15 mn walk from Place d'Italie.
Have a good stay.
If it's not too late to change, try to find a place more centrally located. I like the Latin Quarter or the St Germain area myself.
Thanks for your help - think I'll keep looking. I want somewhere fairly central, but cheap, comfortable and in an area where I'll feel safe too - not asking for much am I ;-)))
How about the Monmartre area? Try the comfort inn saint pierre.
Try hotel la louisiane
94 Eruo / night 5 minute walk from the jardin de lux and on rue de seine.
Quartier Saint Michel and Montmartre are nice.
Place d'Italie is not so far, and by bus it's better to see the city.
These areas are safe, but try to avoid the big commercial centers.
