1 star accommodation to suit our budget. Beware though that we ordered a double room but got a bed considerably smaller - like a 1 1/2 size rather than double.
But we're told for the price, around 45E per night (without shower/toilet), we got one of the best deals possible in Paris. . No elevator, thus we got to walk up 4 flights of steep steps to 4th floor on arrival. Use of communal shower room is 2E50 per person, small but adequate, we found.
Unique Quality: Location was good: a creperie right next door and plenty of activity & other restaurants in the street, Quartier St Denis, post office and little supermarket only a few doors away too.
Directions: tiny door, right next door to creperie/restaurant/bar. Metro: Chatelet Les Halles
