We're ( Indian Family of 2 adults + 2 children 15 & 10) planning our first trip to Paris and need advise. The following is our itinerary:
We would be completing our conducted tour which covers all major tourist spots incl. LIDO show on 13th August morning, check out from Hotel Novotel Bagnolet ( Gallieni ? ), we would be checking in at Hotel santa fe, Euro disney the same day, would be checking out on 15th Aug morning & would be catching Eurostar to Waterloo on 16th August at 15.19 hrs. Plan to leave Euro disney late evening, stay in a budget hotel/hostel (@50 euro), near Eurostar departure point ( is it Gare De nord ?).
1)What is most economical way to reach Euro Disney & return ? Do you recommend to take a Family pass or single tickets ?
2) How much time does it take to reach Gare De Nord i.e the Eurostar departure station from Disneyland ?
3) suggest some budget hotels/hostels near the Eurostar departure station.
4) Do we need to book a hotel /hostel in advance?
Any and all advice is welcome !!!
hi there am an indian too and will be travelling to paris in sep 2004. My research shows that near gare du nord if thats the place where you are looking for accomodation try Hotel ETAP. Its not very far off though admit bit away at Porte de st ouen. You can book it online too check out accorhotels.com or etap hotel paris in google. Also download paris metro and RER maps form www.ratp.fr. they have site in english too. The Maps will give you an idea. Buy carnet which is book of ten tickets. In fact drop the paris open tour idea and travel by metro yourself its not that difficult and very cheap too. And dont be too worried like all we typical indians explore you have grown up kids. hOpe this helps. bye

A good way to go from Paris to Disneyland is the RER train, line A, whose terminal is in front of the theme park's entrance. It's a 50mn ride (+/-), with 3/4 trains an hour.
A lot of cheap hotels next to the Gare du Nord (Eurostar terminal). A lot of indian people, too.
From Disneyland to Gare du Nord, RER line A, connecting in Chatelet with lines B and D.
