Whilst in Paris we stayed at the Hotel Fertel Etoile which is only a 10 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe. It was part of a package and was a reasonable price, given its fairly central location and we had no problems with noise, though out stay was in April. The rooms were fairly standard with tv and phone etc, though the bathroom did come equiped with a bath. There was a small room in the basement for breakfast. There are a number of shops and restaurants in the area and a delightful bakery at the end of the street where we bought cakes a number of times and they went down well with afternoon tea.
