I love Paris in the springtime.....
The Four Seasons George V is truly one of the world's great hotels. I really, really love to stay here when I am in the City of Light, in a superb suite overlooking the Avenue George V. I also love to cook in the kitchen with my good friend 3 Michelin Star Masterchef Philippe Legendre. And for a meal, very few restaurants can hold a candle to Le Cinq for fine dining of incredibly delicious dishes like Lobster and Poulet de Bresse. Oh, La! La! You must dine here to understand what I mean. Bon appetit!
Unique Quality: Superb service, accomodation and food and wines!!!

Probably the best Hotel in Paris
Luxurious hotel situated a couple of blocks from the famous Champs Elysees. You'll receive "superstar" treatment from the moment you enter the door. Everyone at the hotel will do their best to satisfy you. You get what you pay for.
Unique Quality: A fantastic hall welcomes you to this extravagant hotel. The room I stayed in was spacious with two king size beds, a big television and a stereo. I remember that the soaps and shampoo in the bathroom came from Bvlgari. Paid around 15 Euros for a coke in the piano bar. Didn't try the restaurant.
Opinion of Price: most expensive

PERFECTION !!!!!!
Ok let's be very honest.THIS place is not for everyone. The price to stay here is absolutely outrageous !! I honestly believe I will never be able to afford this place on a extended vacation. And I have stayed at numerous Four Seasons around the world but this one is in a class all to itself !! Located on one of the World's most exclusive streets George V in Paris. The location is PERFECT !! The rooms are HUGE. 85% of the rooms have balconies either facing the Eiffel tower or the beautiful gardens. The bathrooms have ultra luxurious amenities..the towels are to die for !!! (You can actually purchase the towels at a steep $50 Euro a piece) The hotel staff is without a doubt well taught in international hospitality !! No request was too small for them !! Breakfast was included in the 750 Euro a night room !! and it was either served in the world famous "Le Cinq" rest. or brought up to your room..but believe me take the world's most expensive breakfast ($50 Euro if your not staying at the hotel) at the "Le Cinq" restaurant..."Le Cinq" is considered one of the best restaurant not only in Paris, but the entire world !! And even breakfast is something to be seen at this place !!! as for room service...One can order a $30 Euro burger with a $3,000 Euro bottle of Petrus wine straight up to the room if you wanted too !!! Complimentary airport service is offered after your stay in the Four Seasons ultra luxurious Mercedes Benz !!! Staying in this place is like a dream !!! but the only down side is the price..starting at 750 Euro's for a standard room(like the one I was in)(which is really suite like) to 2800 Euro's for top suites !!! It's not for the faint at heart !! Felt like the most important person on earth while staying here. PERFECT 10 out of 10 !!! If you can afford the price...then there's no question stay here....but at 750 Euro's a night IT's not for everyone !!
Unique Quality: The pool and spa are considered if not the best, one of the best in all the entire world !!!! 400 Euro for an all day spa treatment !!!!
Opinion of Price: most expensive

by vink_id about Ibis, Ellyse Hotel, Hilton airport
- Ibis has a reasonable price, not too bad - Ellyse Hotel at rue George V Champs Ellyse is small but neat and tidy - Hilton airport is great, you can always use the subway or sncf to go around Paris
Simply the Best

I just returned from my third stay at George V and just as I think each stay cannot possibly get better, the staff exceeds my highest expectations, from the speedy assistance through customs at the airport, to Jeff Leathem's amazing flowers, to the cleanest, most-spectacular bathrooms ever. They leave absolutely no detail overlooked. Le Cinq has the best food and most incredibly professional, yet unpretentious service one can imagine. The highest levels of management are always available to attend to any possible need and the Concierge staff goes out of it's way to make the impossible a reality. Four Seasons George V is simply the best!
A hotel like no other.

We ended our month long family vacation by staying two nights at the Four Seasons, George V, which was the most wonderful experience imaginable. At check-in, we were immediately upgraded to a grand suite with a huge terrace. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was impeccable and the bed was the most comfortable we had on our entire trip. The bar and restaurant staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Every time we stay at a Four Seasons property, we are happily surprised by all of the extras that are thrown in. While this hotel is certainly not for those on a tight budget, everybody owes it to themselves to at least spend one night in this magical place in this magical city.

We stayed 9 nights at the Four Seasons in July and absolutely loved it. The staff was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is centrally located to all the attractions and definitely surpassed our expectations.

hi
in summer (july and august) are the big holidays in Europe and tourist destinations are heavily crowded. I would suggest to come in autume (september, october, november can be already very freezing and the weather often isn't that good). September and October are good months for hiking in the mountains. the view can be superb. for swimming and beach live just note that October can be already too cold, except the most southern part of Italy.

I would say the best time to visit is late Sept. to early Oct, you take a chance that the weather could be cold, but crowds are down and the countryside is beautiful. Another option is to go in early spring (mid April) before the crowds and prices increase. Again, you take a chance with rainy cold weather, but its still a great time to travel around.

If you think of going to one of the countries in winter for skiing, you must also beware of the seasons. In the main resorts only early december, january and mid march will be (more or less) low-season, in smaller resorts these periods may be a bit longer. Late january and early/mid march are often a good choice also regarding weather and snow! P.
