Hello
I'm off to Paris next week and was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera. I'm very interested to hear opinions as I've read mixed reviews about the place. Thanks
1. Hotel Des Flandres (88, Rue de Maubeuge)
2. Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera (152 Avenue Ledru-Rollin)
3. Grand Hotel Lafayette Buffault (6 Rue Buffault)
4. Hotel Wilson (10 Bis Rue Du Chateau)
hi there,
I used to be a guess at Grand Hotel Lafayette Buffault (6 Rue Buffault) .This is a nice and clean place, well located (next to Gallerie Lafayette) and Cadet Metro...it is next to many small and nice bistrots, markets (Mc Donald´s!!)and I guess that you will like it very much...just remember that you will be in a comercial district, so dont expect beautiful landscape or monuments...
enjoy..:-))
regards
Hi All,
I'm visiting Paris with my wife this december.
I'll be starting from London on Dec 29th evening and reaching Paris Dec 29th night 9.00 p.m at CDG airport. Here are the details of the hotel where I've made
reservation.
Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera
152 Avenue Ledru Rollin
Paris 75011
France
I would like to know a economical mode of getting to and from the airport to this hotel.
Regards,
Mahesha
Your best option will probably be to take the RER to Chatelet and then the metro from there.
I've listed all the different ways of getting from CDG to Paris on my Paris pages under Transportation.

First of all, Opera is in the name of your hotel but you are not near Opera Garnier but not far (10mn walk) from Opera Bastille, the most recent one.
The best way (I mean the cheapest) is the RER line B (express metro) :
- take it at CDG
- Stop at Gare du Nord
- Take the metro line 5 direction place d'Italie
- stop at Oberkampf
- take line 9 direction Mairie de Montreuil
- stop at Voltaire.
Your hotel is at a walking distance of :
- place de la Bastille (I suggest a dinner in a restaurant of rue de Lappe)
- Opera Bastille
- Canal St martin
- Pere Lachaise cemetary
Have a pleasant stay

I'm not sure if this mode is most economical but it is most practical espcially since you're arriving @ 9 p.m. If I were you I'd take a taxi from the taxi stand outside the Arrivals hall. It will cost approximately 40 euro but it's well worth it. Do you really want to deal with taking public transportation after your flight?
