We would not recommend this one at all!
We spent only one night before to change, it supposed to be a double superior room and we had instead two orrible small bed close one ot each other. Staff is not so friendly, they sold us an internet connection card for 30 mn (6 euro) and we had only 15 mn, plus 5 euro for hairdryer that was in the bathroom but that we didnt used
Please....be far from this hotel, is a friendly advice..:-)
Unique Quality: Grrr....i should say almost anything, but it would not be right...
It was our first night after 2 months of being apart, then in the end, who cares about the hotel really?
There were only me and you baby in this planet...
Has anybody ever stayed at this hotel? Was it a good experience? Is it in a good location - (close to public transportation, nightlife, etc)? It is in the 13 Arrondissement. Is there plenty to do in that area? Also, what would be the best way to get there from CDG Airport? Thanks a lot for any help!
I don't know about the hotel but used to live in the area (Place Nationale) some years ago.
It is a perfectly decent area but it doesn't offer much in terms of animation or attractions. This part of Paris has been completly rebuilt since the seventies, modern style : big concrete towers, offices and flats : essentially a middle/working class residential area.
If you go direction Porte de Choisy you have what some call 'Chinatown' (asian shops and restaurant - nightlife : mostly restaurants)
If you go direction Bercy ; it's a business area, not much nightlife as i recall but it may have changed (a bit).
You have some cinemas Place d'Italie.
But you have the metro.
To go there from Roissy : RoissyBus from CDG to Opera and the metro line #7 to porte d'Ivry
Check out www.tripadvisor.com these are reviews by past guests which have stayed in hotels. Type in Pais in the search and then when the next page comes up look for "read reviews" click on that and then you can scroll through them until you find someone who as stayed at the BW.
it's close to Pte d'ivry, metro Line 7
Not far from Chinatown, for good vietnamese restaurants.
But it's a mess now because works for the new tramway
the stop Pte d'ivry is closed, you have to choose another stop....
I think it's better to move if you can
You can find other better hotels near Place d'italie
The best is Roissybus to Opera then Metrol Line 7, but the stop Pte d'ivry may be closed, you have to check it
Nearby you can go (by bus or metro or foot) to:
Bibliotheque F Mitterand
Italy 2 (commercial center)
Jardin des plantes
Musee d'histoire Naturelle
La Grande Mosquee
Thanks for the info! I will see what else I can find. Happy travels!
