If you like history, you need to go to the Crypt Archilogy directly in front of NotreDame! Cool layout and it's all underneath the existing court!! You need to see this if you are at all interested in the history of Paris!! It was amazing!We happened to be in Paris the night that France won the European Football (soccer) championship!! They won with only 48 seconds in the game! The Champs Elysee was a sea of football fans after the game! We watched that part on T.V. from our room (I'm a bit crowd-phobic).We just happened to eat dinner at a local 'sports' bar/brasserie (there were a lot of T.V.s around).
Everyone had Red,White, and Blue shirts and were singing the national anthem and the 'fight' songs...one of which oddly enough was 'I will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor. Since we are American, it was a really great experience to see such national unity under a single sport!
By the way, even though the atmosphere was great, the food turned out to be the worst meal we had while in Paris!!
