Best place to buy RER Tickets and Museum Pass
by GrumpyDiver
One of the best kept secrets at Charles DeGaulle Airport is the tourist information booth.
The one we used is located in the arrivals area of Terminal 2. Not only do they speak English, but you can buy your commuter train (RER) ticket to Paris and your museum pass here.
That way you can bypass all of those nasty lines you find at the ticket vending machines or the lineups at the museums that sell the passes. And they don't charge any more than any of the other places you can buy these!
The Louvre entrance: boys...
by shivan
The Louvre entrance: boys don't miss it.
Tale: the MonnaLisa tragedy.
This is the most celebrated painting in the world, made in the 16th century by the italian Leonardo Da Vinci. There is only a problem. THIS PAINTING IS AS BIG AS A STAMP! And you are forced to look at it meters away from it. Also you cannot stand in front of it, but you have to walk because of the big crowd always trying to look at it.
Paris-plage
by Mikebond
Paris-plage is an initiative of the Paris municipality to bring the beach to the Parisians who cannot or are too lazy to go to the sea, to go there or simply want to get tanned. This enterprise suggest turning the proverb if the mountain will not go to Mahomet, let Mahomet go to the mountain into if the Parisians don't go to the beach, the beach goes to the Parisians! So, it was decided to provide a beach along the Seine.
Paris-plage has been existing since 2002 and it has proved very successful. My parents and I saw also artists who were building sculptures of sand, as the last photo shows.
The only disadvantage is that people are not allowed to bathe in the river.
The impeccable table
by shrimp56
French style is evident in this picture detail from a restaurant in the 7eme. It happens to be Le Florimund, but you will see this scene by peering in the restaurant windows in Paris. The flowers on the bench outside are a casual contrast to the neatly ordered table, white linens and sparkling glasses to the ready!

The link will give YOU the rules you need to host in the French style!
