Do relax a bit! :-)
by Emke
Some people (like me ;-) ) tend to walk around a lot because they want to see ALL the beautiful things. In the first place that's impossible. Even Guyon who lives in Paris discovers everytime new things. And in the second place you would miss the special atmosphere of Paris.
Just sit down for a moment in one of the beautiful parcs of Paris, watch the people walk by and relax!
Metro Tuileries
Look at the picture what we saw when we sat down at the Jardin des Tuileries. Sweet!

Poetry

On a bench, in the garden that is situated below the Sacré Coeur, this man, is often there, and give to eat to the birds.
He became so familiar to them that the birds come to eat in his hand. Of the moments of pure poetry ago, where that one is, if one knows how to look at them.

Please ask someone if they speak English before asking a question in English! The French hate it when tourists don't ask first - and who could blame them! If you speak a little French, use it! French people that we have met are very helpful and patient with our limited language abilities. I am always a little hesitant at first to speak French because I am convinced no one will understand me. I usually find the French will speak English back if I speak French. Service is included in the bill at restaurants but if you feel you have had particularly good service, an extra tip of about 10 francs is suggested.
Packing List

good pair of walking shoes as you will do a lot - and me? I decided to wear knee length boots so as not to be upstaged by chic Parisian ladies, only to regret it later when my feet were really sore at the end of each day.
