Hotel D Angleterre

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, although only for one night as they didnt have any more rooms. (you can read about why in my blog).
The hotel staff were very curtious and friendly, the man at the reception was Algerian and spoke english very well. Free broadband internet, although this doesnt work well on the higher floors.

Unique Quality: Friendly staff, secure hotel, safe for all including women, 2 minutes walk from Victor Hugo Metro and in a VERY nice area of Paris, superb Jewish Dining in this area, close to designer boutiques and many restaurants too.

Directions: 15-20 minutes walk from the Arc de Triumph and Eiffel Tower areas of Paris. Although in the Metro is about 5 to 10 mins.

For me Hotel D Angleterre redefined small room and small elevator. This was definitely the smallest elevator I have ever seen. We were on the sixth floor with a stroller so the small elevator was a challenge.

Somehow after booking the hotel on their web site I was expecting a view of the Arch, but not so.
