Hi, if anyone has stayed here please give me some feedback on its double rooms.
Now I am considering staying here after reading some favorable comments (old). But I haven't learned about the double rooms how they're decorated, size, bathrooms (shower curtains are important to me), etc.
People commented in general that the hotel is nice but no details. So can anyone help?
Thanks very much!!
Has no one stayed here?
Our honeymoon has been delayed quite awhile. We will go this fall/winter to paris for 6-7 nights.
I stayed there years ago by Cafe Deux Magots at a hotel no longer operating.
I'd love to stay in an ideal location on in St.-Germain-des-Pres or on the Isle Ste. Louis- is that possible for under $225-250/nt. ?
Hopefully a clean, well-kept hotel?
Should we consider a tourist-apt.?
Thank you! Alex
I don't like being cramped when on vacation and if you are going to be in one place for a week, an apartment generally gives you more space. This September we used welcome2france.com and rented a studio and a 1 bedroom by Place Vendome that worked out great. It is not as active a night area as St. Germain or the Marais, but we felt really secure. Across the street from the Park Hyatt.
I've stayed in both St. Germain and the Ile St. Louis. I like both areas but honestly give the Ile St. Louis a bit more favor than St. Germain. The hotel I stayed at on the Ile St. Louis is Hotel de Lutece and it costs 164 euro for a double right now. I believe next March they will increase the rate to 170 euro, not much difference. You can read about it in my hotel tip. http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/60549/18308/3/
In St. Germain the Verneuil was a good choice. I have wanted to stay at the Hotel des Saints Peres as I've heard good things about it. It's located about a block away from Blvd. St. Germain on rue des Sts. Peres.
Try the Hotel Saint Paul, http://www.h-saintpaul.com/ a really nice 3 stars hotel located in the middle of Saint Germain des pres. The hotel is located in a small and calm street from steps to good restaurants and bars, in saint germain des pres.Rooms are really really confortable. It is decorated in the typical romantic parisian style.Staff are really nice and helpfull. The hotel is located nearby a Metro station. It is a great hotel, i really recommend it to you.
my daughter actually lived in that area for 2 years as well as numerous other cities and areas. you may e mail her at email@example.com. she is now in new zealand and studied at le cordon bleu. good luck...sure you want to get married...ha i love it but.....
