Very Satisfied with Hotel Du Midi!
Our family of four stayed here for 3 nights in June 2007. We were pleased with the level of service, the excellent (less touristy) location, and the comfortable, spacious room. We paid 138 euros per night for 4 people in high season which in Paris was a good price, though breakfast was not included. The beds and showers were great, the room was decorated nicely, and it was quiet. The hotel seems to serve an academic/business clientele, and they treat guests with professional courtesy, even greeting us by name when we returned from sight-seeing. The A/C worked great. The hotel is right across from the very convenient RER-B Denfert-Rocherer metro line.... which goes straight to CDG airport! There's a lovely pedestrian shopping street (no cars) around the corner, Rue Daguerre, with lots of shops for fruit, wine, and specialty items, plus many cafes and a fantastic bakery. It's a very local, parisan neighborhood, and out of the heavy tourist areas. So there's a little bit of transport needed for getting to the major sites, but we didn't mind it a bit.
Unique Quality: Free wireless internet (bring your laptop), and one computer in the guest lounge for guests to use. Breakfast available (8 euros per person, children free). It includes yogurt, breads, jam, and your choice of hot beverage.
