Nicer than a two star!
The hotel has a warm cosy feel. The rooms are clean and fresh. Bathrooms modern and clean. Ask for a room higher up to get a view over the roofs. The location is great because you feel like a real Parisian stay here. It's a residential neighborhood, but still in the heart of Paris.
Breakfast consists of fruit, choice of cereal, pane, and coffee/tea. The price is steep 9 Euro. You can get a cheaper breakfast at one of the restaurants on the street. Just look at the chalk boards of the neighboring restaurants for their breakfast special.
The price is slightly less them most in Paris. Prices vary in seasons.
Unique Quality: And the best thing of all is every night you return to your hotel you see the Eiffel Tower!

Hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche - 1 block from Rue Cler
A clean, basic 2 star hotel with bathroom en suite and stand-up shower. Windows open up with a view of the narrow quiet street. 35 rooms and is mentioned in Rick Steve's books on Paris. Buffet breakfast optional. Pay for internet access through computer in lobby area.
Most of all I love this location due to it's proximity to the fresh markets on Rue Cler. I love strolling around the area early morning as Parisians prepare for their day - watering of the streets, fresh bread, smell of fresh fruits...

An Affordable Stay on the Left Bank
Excellent location, very quiet, great views, friendly staff ... could have found somewhere cheaper but sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more.
Unique Quality: To-die-for views of the Eiffel Tower.

Nice B&B or Hotel in Center of Paris?
Hello Everyone,
I am traveling to Paris for 5 days in the end of May and am looking for a nice B&B or budget hotel to stay. Wondered if anyone had any good suggestions. I am traveling with my parents, and will need to find accomodation for three people. We would like to stay in the 7th district to be near the Eiffel Tower (my dad's favorite thing to see) if at all possible. I know the metro and RER are very efficient in Paris so location is not the biggest concern, however a nice, clean air conditioned place would be great. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I found accomodation at Hotel Eiffel Rive Gauche, they offered a triple room, with two beds, and a/c for 125 Euros a night. I think with its location to the Eiffel Tower, its a great deal. My parents are very happy with the reservation and the location of the hotel. Below is the link to the site.
