Hotel George Opera Paris

I stayed in this hotel over the period of the JEC composites show 2012. The hotel was going through a renovation and there was no notice warning customers. The first morning I was staying at the hotel, I was woken up by a drilling sound just next to my room, there were tools everywhere in the corridor and even ladders left in the stairs. The second day of my stay, on my return after a day at the conference, I found a man in my room putting on wall paper!!!!!!! And doing some painting, there were people carrying beds around and people painting walls. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I cannot believe that these people were doing this kind of work while guests were staying over!!!!!!! When I saw the man putting wall paper in my room as if it was a normal thing, I really lost it!!!!!! No one ever apologised to me. If my company had not paid for my stay already, I would not have given them a single penny.
The hotel is in a very beautiful neighbourhood and that is the only good thing about it.
I did not have a single confortable night in this hotel.

Unique Quality: Nice neighbourhood

Directions: Close to Pigalle. Saint George's metro just a few minutes walk.

This hotel is in the Moulin Rouge, but it is SO close to a Metro stop. Also, if you like to dance there is a dance club less then a block away (Cover was twenty Euros, kind of high)

Unique Quality: So close to the metro stop. I've heard so many horror stories about cheap Paris hotel rooms, I was pleasently surprised.
