good value for money hotel in nice area
We're a Danish family of four persons that stayed at Hotel Monceau Etoile during 5 days and our first impression wasn't very good: we arrived very late and the man in the reception, who seemed completely uninteressed in service, led us to a kind of backyard apartment with two rooms (two beds in each of them), very small, very warm, and quite worn out.
However, we slept wonderfully, no noise at all and in the morning we had a very nice breakfast (juice, warm croissants, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bread, several kinds of spreads (honey, Nutella, marmelade etc.), yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruit. All the coffee/tea that you want.
Some of the employees seemed very uninterested in their job and offered a poor service, but in general, they were very kind.
I agree with another reviewer who writes that the hotel needs som tender, love and care, but you get what you pay for and we would definitely come back and stay in room 3 with our children.
The location is perfect. Quiet, safe, lots of shops, restaurants etc.

Paris Paris????
We are travelling to Paris tonight. I was wanting to know what the wheather is like there and how to get from the charles airport to Champs Elysees or better still the Monceau Etoile.

Right now the weather is fine. Sunshine, no clouds. It is not too warm in the morning (+10 today) but quite ok during the day.
You can see the different options for going from CDG to the city under Transportation on my Paris pages. The best option for you is probably the Air France bus as it stops at Etoille / Arc de Triomphe.
