First let me start by saying thanks for all your wonderfull help with my other questions.
Has any one heard of these two hotels HOTEL NOVANOX which is in the latin quarter (5&6) district and the other one is the HOTEL GLASGOW located in the northeastern of the 17 district?
I'm looking for a arrondissement that has all.
Hi, I haven't heard of the Hotel Glasgow and the 17th isn't an interesting area except for seeing the Arc de Triomphe. The Champs Elysees is there too, but I don't find it worthwhile to visit. These are my opinions only however. OTOH I have heard of the Novanox and the area is much better in terms of atmoshpere.
If you check tripadvisor.com you'll find a few negative reviews about Hotel Glasgow which is in the 17th district. I have stayed twice in the 17th and really don't find it an interesting disrict. The Novanox's reviews are better, not excellent, just better than the Glasgow.
In the same area than hotel Novanox, I stayed at hotel Residence Montparnasse, a 3 star hotel that have really good rates. I liked this area, the proximity of Rue de Rennes, Montparnasse Tower, a lot of metro connections, lots of restaurants and bars...Yeah, I really liked the area.
The hotel I stayed in was very clean and staff was friendly!
Have a nice trip!
I am used to go to the Hotel Prince Albert Wagram in the same distric as the Hotel Glasgow. It is a nice 2 stars hotel with really good prices. http://www.princealbert-wagram.com/ The hotel was renovated so it is really clean. The man at the reception is a nice person.
