BIG difference in exchange rate
I do not know if this is only true for usd or for all currency since I didnt pay attention to other currency. The exchange rate at the airport is 1usd to 0.7something euro, but 1 to 0.8 euro something in town.

My family will take a train from Paris to Vernon to visit Monet's gardens in Giverny in July. I understand that there are a few places to rent a bicycle to ride from the train station to Giverny. What I need to know, but can't find, is are there bike rentals for small children? I will have my 6 year old daughter who will either need a small bike or a child's seat, trailer, or trail-a-bike, or tandem to make this journey. Can anyone enlighten me or point me to the right location to find out?? Many thanks!
Yes, there are small bikes. We went with our children and grandchildren, 10 of us, and rented bicycles at the little bar/restaurant right across from the train station in Vernon. My youngest grandchild was 8 at the time and got a small bike. This is a wonderful way to get to Giverny, especially with kids. Be sure to pick up the map from the bike rental man as it guides you across the Seine and to the pedestrian/bicycle path which goes directly to the garden. Do not try to go on the same road as the autos. I hope you have as much fun with this as we did.
Yes - once you are across the river, there is a cycle track along the path of an old railway, I believe.
Have a great day!

We got different photos as the lights were changing constantly .... You can see more photos at Beach_dog Paris page.
It was cold, very cold, but incredible, really.
I though it may be dangerous around the trocadero at night, but being careful, do not worry.
Go to Sacre Coeur and walk around the streets in Monte Marte.
Just around the streets of Monte Marte you will find many artists displaying their works. There were artists offering to sketch portraits, there were painters, and even someone cutting an outline of you with a pair of scissors! See my travelogue for more.
Get out of Paris and stay in Versailles. We stay in Versailles in small hotels with the French and travel to Paris via metro. Living with the locals is a great way to experence the culture. Near the palace is the market, wonderful resturants, shopping, metro, and people.
Paris is split into two halves by the Seine. On the north of the river, the Right Bank (rive droite) is home to the grand boulevards and most monumental buildings, many dating from Haussmann's nineteenth-century redevelopment, and is where you'll spend most time, during the day at least. The top museums are here - the Louvre and Beaubourg, to name just two - as well as the city's widest range of shops around rue de Rivoli and Les Halles; and there are also peaceful quarters like the Marais for idle strolling. The Left Bank (rive gauche) has a noticeably different feel, its very name conjuring Bohemian, dissident, intellectual connotations, and something of this atmosphere survives in Paris' best range of bars and restaurants, and its most wanderable streets. The areas around St-Germain and St-Michel are full of nooks and crannies to explore.Parts of Paris, of course, don't sit easily in either category. Montmartre, rising up to the north of the centre, has managed to retain a village-like, almost rural atmosphere with its colourful mixture of locals and artists despite the daily influx of tourists. Undisturbed by tourism, the dilapidated working-class quarters of eastern Paris offer a rich ethnic slice of Parisian streetlife.
