    Great for its location

    by

Great stay overall, rooms were up to a good standard, comfy bedding, nice toiletries, enough space to keep luggage, a relaxing bar and lounge and friendly staff who kept reminding us of the pickpockets in Paris. Internet was about 6 euros for 24 hours, and housekeeping were happy to supply anything extra we needed like plugs etc. It was only a 10 minute ride from Gare Du Nord by taxi. There are rooms facing the front (grand boulevards) and rooms facing the back ( side street) our room was next to the lift and faced the back and it was pretty peaceful. They were also happy to hold our luggage for the whole day until our night train.

Unique Quality: The hotel is right on Grand Boulevards surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants and bars. Musee Grevin, Virgin Superstore is just steps away and the metro entrance is at the doorstep (literally).

Directions: Right outside Grand Boulevards Metro (Exit 1)

Nice hotel in the Opera Quarter

    by

We stayed here in December of 2006 and found the rooms to be clean, modern, and spacious. the staff were very friendly and spoke adequate English and helped us get around when we needed directions. I would stay here again.

Don't Be Fooled By The Name

    by

Please don't be fooled by the name "Paris-Opera". This hotel is located near far northeast section of the Opera district (9th Arrondissement) and it is about 20 blocks away from the Paris Opera House (Le Palais L'Opera Garnier). Metro stop was not close from the hotel and my room was stinky.

If you still decided to stay at this hotel I would strongly recommend not going out at night time. I've experienced numerous fights near the hotel during night time.

    Directions: 9th Arrondissement (Opera Garnier)

  • Comfortable hotel, good location

    by

We recently stayed 4 nights in this hotel. It was clean and easily accessable from the metro, (we walked from Gare du Nord, about 10 mins, with wheelie bags). The room was comfortable and typically French in style. The staff were professional and reasonably friendly. Some of the other reviews found the rooms to be noisy, we never had any problems. We would'nt rave about this hotel but don't really have anything bad to say either.

    Holiday Inn Paris Opera (4*)

    by

    Holiday Inn Paris Opera (4*)
About 70 GBP per head to a double room with free breakfast.

    Unique Quality:
The free breakfast is rich and the waiters & waitresses there are kind and good at English; the bathroom is also fabulous; everything is perfect there.

    Directions:
A definiely nice location with a metro station in 1-2 mins walk. Really enjoy it.

Choosing a hotel in Paris

by Uttio

Hi! Can anyone tell me which is a better hotel between Ibis Paris Opera Le Peletier and Holiday Inn Paris Opera in terms of:
1] location (travelling to attractions)
2] quality of the 2 hotels

I'll be travelling in March with my wife & 10 yr old son.

Thanks.
Uttio

I guess you would prefer location of the first one ; location of the second one is near passage Brady so as an Indian you will too much feel at home, as the street is full of indian people :-))
