My wife and I are planning to visit Paris in 2008 and are getting a 1 bedroom flat for a period of 3-4 months.
Has anyone had any experience with booking or getting a flat in Paris.Love to hear the name of suitable organisations or website where the process was successful for you.
Seems some sites require about 30% in advance plus a bond and often you have to pay the agent's fee.
Thanking you all.
Have you considered doing a Home Exchange, seeing you will be in for a costly stay I,d be looking at that. Homelink is supposed to be reputable, you can browse the listings without actually joining up, perhaps have a look at the website.
Thanks Margaret yes have thought about it and is an option.I know the site.Hello to Adelaide
You aren't going to shoot that cute little kitty, are you?! LOL

We stayed for four days in an apartment booked through apartments2book.com - please check their web site. It has options for extended stay as well. We stayed at HOTEL RESIDENCE VILLA DAUBENTON, in the 5th arr [Latin Quarter], walking distance to Rue Mouffettard, a lovely quaint area with lots of shops, cafes etc. About 5 minutes walk to the Metro. This apartment was good and we found the rate also reasonable. Good luck!
My husband and I spent a month in Paris in 2003. We rented an apartment directly from a couple who has several apartments in Montmartre. Their website is: http://cf.geocities.com/flatinmontmartre.
We stayed in the one called Les Fusains. It's in a great building, on a residential street, but convenient to the metro. They were very nice to deal with and the apartment was just as it appeared on the website.
Thank you all for the information on Flats in Paris.I was wondering if the last writer voyageur11 could check the url as it seems not to work.
Regards to all VTers
