REX=DAMP AND DIRTY DISMAL
Hotel smells musty and damp, constant urine smell in WC.
Very poor room cleaning, more dirt on the inside of the windows than outside.
Geasy lumps of dust hanging from upper walls.
The lift is a JOKE one person and 1 large suitcase at a time.
Very bad ATTITUDE, lack of respect for guests from housekeeping staff, dirty laundry,cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaner blocking access to stairs and lifts was frequent.
A lot of crashing and banging from kitchen staff when clearing away dirt cups etc.
The sweaty and smelly housekeeping staff need instuction and more training.
Would recommend that you do NOT stay at the REX.
Unique Quality: The lift was unique in its size 150kg capacity.

Hotel Rex
Hotel Rex is a cheap, but decent hotel in the centre of Paris, close to the big warehouses Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. It is situated in a quiet street with a dead end, so no loud noises to interrupt you in your sleep. The rooms are very simple, old and typically French. Breakfast is simple too: just the normal French bread with jam and Nutella, and some orange juice and coffee.
Unique Quality: Hotel Rex is a good hotel for people with a small budget. Please notice the fact that there is a possibility of being transferred to another hotel of the Rex group. They have two more hotels in the neighbourhood of this one, but normally you´re placed in the hotel you´ve booked.
