We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was nice. Smallish by normal standards, but fairly roomy for Paris. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved the location. It's far enough off the main drag off Boulevard St. Germain to be away from the tourist crowds, but still just a short walk to Notre Dame. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes to choos from. Next time in Paris we see no reason to stay anywhere else.
Considering how difficult it is to find really good reasonably priced hotels in Paris I was well satisfied with this one. It is within walking distance of a multitude of restaurants in the St Michele area and is also surrounded by small street cafes and patisseries for those morning essentials. It's only a few minutes walk to the river so a midnight stroll along those famous banks would not be out of the question.
Unique Quality: The bed was extremely comfortable and clean and the bathroom was fine too - what more do you need?
Directions: Get off the metro at Cardinal Lemoine, exit onto Rue Monge and the hotel is just around the corner.
This is a modest city hotel, nothing special but nothing truly negative except that the night desk clerk is very forward, and a woman traveling solo should be very careful with this guy. The hotel is well kept and the lady in the breakfast room is very pleasant. The location is great.
Directions: Very nice area of Paris. Many major sites are within walking distance, and there are metro stops a few blocks north and also a couple blocks south.

In a quiet street.

As we are going to Paris for a few days in late October, we would like to get a decent hotel room with two twin beds ? Can someone suggest one that is clean, reasonably priced and close to Metro and attractions ?
I assume you mean a room with twin beds i.e. 2 beds. Not a room with four beds. We stayed at the Hotel Sorbonne which is well-located.
Most hotels have arrangements with twin beds. You should check the lodging section on the VT Paris page. There are excellent reviews. Then double check them on tripadvisor.com.

We also stay at the Hotel de la Sorbonne in the Latin Quarter and that would fit your requirements exactly. Just be sure to book a room with two twin beds. You can easily do this either at http://www.france.com and do a search for Sorbonne, or you can access their web site directly at http://www.hotelsorbonne.com/uk/indexsommaire.htm
Both sites are in English. We use the France.com site and have never had any problems. You will be able to choose exactly the type of room and beds that you want.
If you want to see some pictures and links, click on my name here and then click on my Paris Travel Page and scroll down to Hotels and Accomodations. The rooms are small but very clean and the location is wonderful.
What is 'reasonably priced'? It would help to give a specific rate you want to spend per night.
CALSF, You are so right. What is reasonably priced? We all have such different ideas. We have friends who think 200 euros a night is a real bargain. We, on the other hand, cringe when we have to pay over 100 euros a night. Obviously, we do not travel together! It's odd because we have the same incomes; we just both choose to spend our money differently.
It's all in what you decide you want so . . . good comment. 8^)
You can try to look at Hotel Vendome Saint Germain, they have twin rooms, it is a 2 stars very well-located in the Latin Quartetr, in the 5th...Very clean, area is safe, animated, lovely...

Have a nice trip!
Thank you for your detailed info. I think this one fits my requirements.
By the way, how easy is it to get there from the airport ? In addition, is it within walking distance to the Train station where I plan to take a train to Lourdes ?
