Paris Apartment
Firstly, think about ease of travel and cost of travel from your arrival point in Paris. There are several good options if you are arriving eg at Charles de Gaulle Airport, such as the Air France shuttle coach.
Secondly, try to book directly with owners, so as to avoid hidden add-on fees and agency costs, which can be quite substantial.
Thirdly, get an idea of what each area is like from eg

Fourthly, when you choose your accommodation, make sure you're not ending up in a backstreet in some out of the way area.

Hotel Prince
This hotel is a good value. It's located near the Ecole Militaire and the Eiffel Tower and just around the corner from the Ecole Militaire stop of the #8 Metro. The neighborhood is quiet and you have good access to the popular sites of Paris. The room we stayed in was a good size with a full tub and hand shower. There's also a small elevator.
