Interested in Hotel des Marronniers, but...
I can't seem to find any information about this hotel online, pictures, nothing! This will be my first time in France, traveling with my mother, and we're looking for a hotel of charm in St Germain area. Does any one have any information about this hotel? Any other ideas, tips? Food we are sooooo excited about teh food, small cafes, yummmm, can't wait!

Hi,
I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and loved it. The rooms are small, as always in Paris, but nicely furnished. It's really REALLY quiet and in a lovely location on Rue Jacob, so you're perfectly placed for everything going on round St Germain.
However I have read a few bad reviews since about rude staff. My experience is, if you're nice to hotel staff and treat them like people rather than servants, well they tend to be nice back. Even Parisiens.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there.
Go to Cafe Flore round the corner and have a champagne cocktail and croque monsieur. Also there's a great brasserie on the road between Flore and Rue Jacob - can't remember the name but it has a long blue street frontage, door ont he corner, and does THE best roast lamb.
Also check out Fragonard on Boul St Germain for fantastic home scents, candles and colognes.
