Ibis you know what your getting

My daughter went to Paris for a last minute, one night get a way from Brussels. She wanted to go somewhere clean and safe. This is what she found at the Ibis Bastille Opera. The location was easy to navigate to. The bed was warm and comfortable she was able to have the heat turned up and a long hot shower. The area around the hotel was fun, cafes and such and on the day she was there a open market with artist showing their works. The internet access was not complimenary and the front desk staff as she put it they were not rude just very French. She tried to reserve using the toll free number but she was on her cell and they kept putting her on hold. She called me (2am my time) to reserve via the internet. All in all she thought the hotel was a fine choice for what she was looking for. She enjoyed her get away.

Unique Quality: good location, Clean and comfortable..

A nice Ibis in a fun area *11e

This is where we stayed with our students for 6 nights. It was very clean and well-run, although the front desk was a bit clueless at times. I'll add more about the neighborhood later.

Ibis Bastille Hotel.

Unique Quality: The rooms have telephone, TV with all French networks including Canal +, plus several European channels; an 'all you can eat' breakfast, restaurant 'Le Gavroche' offering tasty dishes, drinks included; a piano bar 'l'interlude'; car park.

I stayed at the Ibis Bastille...

I stayed at the Ibis Bastille Hotel.
It is central, very near the Bastille Square. The room I got was quite small though, with a tiny bathroom. All in all, I think it was a bit expensive, given the conditions.

Ouch, you'll be in the 15th arrondissement, one of the pochest and more expensive in Paris.

Check my restaurant tips, especially "Chez Germaine", a very cheap but good restaurant, in the nearby 7th arrondissement.

It seems that your priorities may have changed. Earlier you were hesitating between Ibis Cambronne and Bastille depending on which was closer to the places you wanted to visit. Now you want cheap restaurants. I think you should have opted for Ibis Bastille where you are more likely to find cheap places to go out. And since nothing is very far in Paris you can just take the metro to go to the Champs Elysées etc. You'll be taking the metro anyway...
