During this particular visit we were drving home from the west coast of France. After a 550 kilomters drive we decided that we wanted to visit Paris. So there we went inside the city in a look for a suitable hotel. The Ibis Paris Porte d'Italie hotel is on the outskirts of Paris, has immediate access to the Paris ring road and A6 highway and therefore rather easy to find. Although we didn't call in advance we were helped very politely for five beds in two rooms. Just after checking in we tried to find our way in Paris and learned that line B of the RER regional rail network, the tramway and the metro station of the University were closeby, which was great!
The hotel offers 283 air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, it has a restaurant, 24-hr bar and not too expensive indoor paying car park (€12.50 a day). Our stay was short, but pleasant. The breakfast was extensive and well attended.
Unique Quality: The Ibis Hotel offers a variety of free comforts like Color TV, fan, hairdryer, free tea & coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone in all the rooms at the cheapest rates. At least these rates of accommodation won't make a hole in your pocket.
Directions: Gentilly, Paris.
