Paris' secret worthy to be kept a secret
Very uncomfortable. The hotel was refurbishing the other rooms within at least 3 floors. The hall reeked of paint fumes and paint residue come through our rooms through the vent and awning at the bottom of the door. The carpets are horribly dusty from all the construction work. I would not recommend keeping valuables inside. Construction workers stare at the hotel guests coming in and out of the rooms.
Unique Quality: Good croissants and breakfast selection.
Directions: Use metro instead of the hotel. It cost me 35euros to get to Champs Elysee at 8am due to heavy traffic. Of course, only one or two lines of the metro go to the area and probably, you'll need 2-3 transfers from other major lines.
A Great Location
It is a modern, clean and very reasonably priced hotel where one can breakfast from a fine range of dishes for a few euros. Dinner is quite a small operation as is quite usual in such a city which boasts so much choice and quality, but the choice, standard and service was very good.
Unique Quality: The hotel adds to the restful feeling of lovely Bercy Village. A real oasis after a hard day's sight seeing in this wonderful city.
Make time for a walk around the village, it is only a couple of Metro stops south of Gare de Lyons.
Directions: Metro Station : Cour St-Emilion. Up escalator then to the left for two hundred metres. At end turn left again and hotel is ahead on the right.
Bercy Village has many boutiques and restaurants created from wine warehouses.
This was the accommodation that my Kumuka Tour group used. I believe that there was at least one other tour firm that was also staying at the Kyriad Bercy.
The room was clean, but fairly small. Fitting 2 of us in to it was a squeeze. The room had 2 double beds, a small bathroom with shower, and cable TV. The view from our room was over a vacant lot and out to the inter city train line.
The hotel has a restaurant and 1 internet terminal.
There is a small supermarket almost right next to the hotel. The Metro is a short walk away.
The suburb that the hotel is located in is a strange mixture of construction areas, new buildings and older. I found that it didn't have as much atmosphere as other suburbs I saw.
What will never be erased from my memory is how much yellow was in the room (especially the yellow shower basin)!
Directions: A short walk from a Metro station.
