Fete de la Musique by Stasigrace
We got to be in town for this once-a-year music festival. All of Paris pours into the streets and musicians of all ages and skill levels (!) play all over the city all day.There are really nice organized concerts (we saw a medieval music group at the Cluny Museum of the Middle Ages and a turntablist with a Salvation Army Band--don't ask--in front of the St. George Fountain). The most popular one we went to was the group Gotan Project, a really cool techno band. That concert was in the Palais Royale--a gorgeous location--and it was packed because it was FREE!
If you are in Paris during this time, be aware that it wil be really crowded. But if you're a music lover, you couldn't ask for a more wonderful, unique experience!
