Reasonable hotel
Hotel is in a great location near Palais du Chaillot, which is on a hill above the Eiffel Tower - a classic spot for photos.
The rooms - even the cheapest - are very nice, with a very comfortable bed. The rack rate for our room was EUR399, which would be crazy if they actually charged it - you can do much better online.
The jacuzzi bath didn't work, and the front desk staff are very uninformed about local facilities. The afternoon staff didn't know there was a grocer 80m down the street. They also sent us to a "car park" 600m away that didn't exist.
The hotel has ONE car parking spot.
Unique Quality: Rooms are nicely furnished, and the hotel decor is pleasant. We could see the tip of the Eiffel Tower a few hundred metres away over the Palais du Chaillot.
The Trocadero gardens were created, along with the Palais de Chaillot, for the 1937 World Fair. They cover about 10 hectares, and throughout the gardens there are numerous sculptures and fountains that are best seen at night when they're all lit up. Most visitors gather near the great pond, which offers a great view of the Eiffel Tower, but you can also find a little spot of grass to sit and relax for a while. Overall I thought it was more quiet, more charming and also more clean than the Champs-de-Mars, so if you're looking for a place to have a picnic while enjoying a view of the Eiffel Tower, this might be the better option!
