well located clean hotel

Thumbs up for les trois poussins. Great location, very clean and not an eyelid raised when my boyfriend rolled in at 6am after a night with an old friend and a few bottles of Bordeaux. I booked via Expedia and got a great deal compared with the rack rate. As for the breakfasts: why bother when there is an abundance of patisserie, boulangerie etc nearby.
Superb!

Les Trois Poussins is located in the Opera district near Montmatre and the beautiful Sacre Coeur where you can see a magnificent view of Paris-- especially at night. There are many restaurants and quaint shops in the area.
The rooms are comfortable and have a small kitchenette with a fridge and stove. There is also a charming courtyard that opens in the warmer weather.
The staff is friendly and speaks very good English.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel because it is just outside of the typical tourist areas so you get a good feel for the people and culture of France-- and the prices for foods, wines and clothing are much better than in the typical tourist areas.
Well Located On a Quiet Block In the 9th

Hotel Les Trois Poussins is a medium/small hotel in a neighborhood that is quiet at late night, but busy with shops and restaurant/cafes daytime through evening. The staff was very courteous and efficient, prompt with recommendations and information, and all spoke English. The rooms and common areas were all clean and well-maintained. Our triple room was a loft space on the top (6th) floor with a wonderful view of Sacre Coeur over the rooftops. The private bathroom was large (by European standards) with an excellent shower and storage under the sink. Daily service to the room was flawless. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel, which lived up to the other good reviews posted on TripAdvisor. We would stay here again without hesitation.
While at the hotel, take advantage of the neighborhood cafes, restaurants, bakeries, food shops and two metro stations – Saint George and Le Peletier , whose lines make for easy access to all parts of Paris. Travel two Metro stops (ten minutes) to Montmartre in the evening for more dining choices around the Abesses metro stop. Skip the hotel’s continental breakfast in favor of the petit dejeuner at the Select Café at the corner of Rue de Navarin and Rue des Martyrs for half the price – you’ll enjoy the warm hospitality of the English speaking owner, Tony, and his staff. (They have a great dinner menu, too.) Also try duck delicacies at Le Petit Canard restaurant nearby.
Had a lovely stay

This is a nice, smart and compact hotel in a great location. The rooms were of a very acceptable size and were kept clean. For the deal we got (with eurostar), it was great value for money. There are two metros within easy walking distance and a local cafe/bistro nearby that does great dishes. We also went to a great Egyptian Cafe/shisha place just round the corner....Highly recommended!!
Breakfast wasn't included in the deal, so I can't comment...but there are a wealth of places nearby (it being Paris and everything!) where you can get your fill of coffee and croissants!
Très agréable

A very pleasant small hotel, well maintained, good ambience. Rooms the size you would expect, confortable, modern, clean. Conveniently located but quiet at night (April). Good to be in the city centre but still be able to get a good night's sleep without being kept awake by noise.
Breakfast at 10 euros looks good value compared to cafe and bar prices.
Selected the hotel based on Trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. On a previous trip to Paris we booked into a chain hotel but were transferred from our chosen hotel to one in the same area which had mixed reviews. This time we selected this independent hotel to avoid the risk of that happening again.
If it continues to get good reviews and offers good values then we will stay there again
A great little hotel

A lovely little hotel that I booked on the strength of other reviews posted here. The bedroom was nicely furnished and clean and the other areas of the hotel were well presented.
The location is good, a two minute walk from a metro station and in a nice and fairly quiet area. Breakfast a bit steep at ten euros each, although the staff were very friendly and helpful which makes this a great place to stay overall.
Perfect Parisien Experience!

My sister and I stayed at Les Trois Poissins for four nights in late May, 2005. Sheer serendipity that we landed in the wonderful St. George
district; it's a real day-to-day Parisian neighborhood - a treat to watch the. children playing in the streets and everyone going about their daily business. The hotel is charmingly furnished, blessedly air-conditioned (it was warm in May), and the staff could not be more cordial and helpful. A 20 minute walk to Montmartre, and a convenient two blocks from the St.
George Metro. For some great local food, try the No Stress Cafe just up from the Hotel and the delectable Blue Rose, a five minute walk toward the Rue des Martyrs.

Hotel - Des Trois Poussins

We are travelling to Europe in October and planning 3 days in Paris. We have been recommended the 'Des Trois Poussins' at Saint George. Has anyone any comments on it ??
