Stayed here on my 2nd trip to Paris, 3/08. Not a bad place, but I wouldn't stay there again. They get a min of 160E per night & I'm sure there are better places in the Paris city limits that are comparable or cheaper with better amenities. I'd recommend this place if you were in a pinch & there was nothing else avail.
A distinct improvement over Pierre et Vacances Kleber from last yr, staff were a bit more accomodating. You're very close to the Esplanade La Defense Metro, no more than say 500 yds, a BIG plus when you're up & moving in the morning & you want to get into the city! Also, take advantage of their safety deposit box service, its worth the extra $$$. Downsides: There's no street access to either of the hotel's 2 entrances. Our bus driver from DeGaulle a/port couldn't find the place himself, the streets of La Defense seem to be deliberately confusing. Our group of about 30 had to walk about 1/2 mile after 13 hrs of travel, jetlag AND at least 90 mins of aimless driving in La Def looking for the place. Additionally, the rooms are adequate but the furniture was obvs thriftstore stuff. A 2-bed room consists of a comfy double & a nasty sofa bed. Makes you feel cheated. Toilet in one very claustrophobia-inducing room (IE, NARROW), sink & shower in another, seemed strange. Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than average
