This is a very nice hotel with rooms larger than some we have stayed in. The bathrooms are very nice and appear to have been upgraded in recent years. We have stayed here twice, once including my 91 year old mother-in-law who was very pleased with it. The staff is very professional and friendly.
Unique Quality: Great location in the Marais with shops, restaurants, etc. all around. The hotel also has an elevator as well as a large winding staircase.
Directions: Half block from the Bastille Metro. Very close to Place des Voges and the new Bastille Opera.
I'm looking for hotel recommendations in the Marais area. Will be traveling high season (Xmas/New Year's) with husband and 12-year-old daughter, so need something with rooms large enough for all of us. Prefer private bath. Prefer hotel that is NOT all Americans. Am prepared to spend around $200/night (I think that's around 150 euros). Thank you!
I always stay in the Novotel Paris les Halles. Strictly speaking it is not quite Le Marais, but is a stone's throw away. I don't know about the price for 3 people, but right next door to this hotel is Citadines (www.citadines.com) where I have also stayed. These are actually apartments and for 3 people would be cheaper than a hotel.

We have stayed twice at the Hotel Lyon Mulhouse which is very near the Bastille Metro. It is a very nice hotel on Blvd Beaumarchais. Their website is: http://www.france-paris.com/1-hotel-paris/
