Hotel New Montmartre: Hotel New Montmartre
Not recommended. On the French hotel booking sites, they describe the premises as "fully refurbished" when, in fact, this is utterly untrue and the place remains in dire need of updating. The outside is presentable. The reception area is lacking in comfortable seating.
Our double room was tiny, grimy and had not been decorated for many years. Bedding comprised clean sheets and a grubby blanket and bedspread. Light switches were falling away from the wall.
The shower head was broken and bathroom tiles were falling away.The shower leaked extensively into the damp bedroom carpet. The broken toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet. The hairdryer worked but was so feeble that it was a waste of time.
Supply of towels varied from 2 to 4. Soap and two plastic drinking cups were only provided on the first day and for the remaining 6 nights there were none. Towels and sheets were removed and replaced daily but no other cleaning was evident.
Breakfast was rudimentary with little choice (one croissant and a slice of bread with a tiny catering cube of butter, some jam and a drink). It was served in a tiny passageway on the ground floor. On tables with peeling paint. Without a plate.
The toilet in the reception area did, at least, have a seat, although the flush mechanism came away in your hand. Here, and on the landings, timed lights plunged you into darkness if you were to stay too long.
This was a good example of how the star rating system can be misleading. The hotel may have ensuite facilities in each room, or whatever it needs to qualify it for its 2 stars, but there's no requirement for cleanliness or full functioning of those facilities.
A crummy place that spoiled an otherwise enjoyable week in Paris.

Nuit d`Hotel: ...another spot on paris` face...
well, the hotel itself is not bad, but the staff...arrogant, rude, brow-puckering... accomodated us in the hallway under reconstruction where hammers knocked till alte night, acetone smelled all the time, cement bags had to be overstepped when going to the room..

There are...
L'hotel du Central
There are so many other ones around the area, you can have your picks.
It's small and clean, close to everything.
Free Breakfast
about $50, maybe less
Unique Quality: Breakfast was good, the front desk was really helpful (give us the direction to a really good chocolate shop.
Each room has its own shower and toilet.

Watch the room.
Many places for sleep are in paris
If you spend 50 dollars a night or more you don't have problem ,and probably you don't looking for places in the net.
But if you want a cheap place,dont be afraid to ask to see the room before you say OK.
Strange rooms i have been saw in Paris ,so I learn to say NO.The room I don't like.( je ne vu pa )
