Mirific Opera Hotel

We had come from a room in London that had JUST enough room for two beds and space to walk between them, so our room here was an absolute delight. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom and shower were very spacious. The staff on all shifts were wonderful people, very helpful in all directions. The hotel has a buffet breakfast consisting of breads, yogurts, fruits, meats, cereals, juices and coffee, and was very good. The only problem was a theft from our room, which put a damper on our stay. The manager was beside himself, just sure it couldn't have been his staff who were very trusted, but I don't know how else it could have happened. The desk people did everything they could to make things right, though.

Unique Quality: The hotel itself is very basic, but it is within a block of the underground and right across the street from the bus stop, which makes it so extremely convenient for getting around. Before getting out here, others on this site said this hotel was too out of the way, but with the underground right there, it is a great location, and a reasonable price.
