Handbag prices
Hi. I'll be in Paris in March and I'm staying in the Opal Hotel in the Madeleine district. Anyone know anything about it?
Also, does anyone know how much a Louis Vuitton Speedy bag is in Paris?
Also, does anyone know if you can find Botkier bags in Paris - and if so, where and how much?

As for the handbags :
- according to Botkier.com, their bags are sold only in North America and Japan
- do you know the french name of 'Speedy Bags' ? (there is nothing matching this name in the Vuitton 2005 catalog avalaible in France)

Now it seems this scam could be happening at Galeries Lafayette. I was approached by a very ordinary-looking Asian woman trying to tell me that she's only allowed to buy one handbag or something like that. I brushed her off as it seemed very weird.

Vuitton bags beeing "international" products, the base price is the same.
Now according to the Euro/USD parity, they should come cheaper in the USA.
Trip to Paris in Sept
Anybody have information on OPAL HOTEL, 19 Rue Tronchet?
Also, do you need a picture for the weekly Orange Metro ticket? If we do need a picture are there photo machines around?

yes you need a passport photo in order to get your Carte Orange. There are photo booths in the main railway stations.

Hotel Opal is a good accomodation located near la Madeleine. Not far from Opera and Concorde.
It is a 3 stars with AC.
Good choice.
