But best of all we were given rooms on the 30th floor which meant we had spectacular views all over the city and especially for the Eiffel Tower.
The accommodation was modern in style and perfectly well equipped. The rooms were cleaned daily and beds made up. There was a kitchen area with micro wave, kettle, hob, refridgerator and dishwasher. We didn't want to cook anything major but it was perfect for heating up the tasty things we had bought from the Monoprix supermarket which was only 5 minutes walk away.
We didn't bother with the breakfast service which was an extra Euro 9 but we did try out the swimming pool. There's also a smalll fitness centre and a steam room ( which wasn't working). The pool in the deep basement was really nothing special but it was nice to try out. Nor was there any privacy in the changing area but we managed.
The tower block is about a 10 minute walk away from Bir-Hakeim Metro station. The area itself is not particularly smart or chic but we felt safe walking around at night. It's a fairly residential area and not particularly noisy.
Apparently the accommodation has been rated as 3***.
The view from the 30th floor was fantastic and we felt very lucky to have been given rooms at this height. Had we been given rooms at a lower level our experience would not have been so good but still perfectly comfortable
