You can do MUCH better!!

I certainly would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! We stayed there as part of a college trip in March 2007. Our 1st night there we returned around 9pm to find that 2 of our students had their laptops stolen right out of their LOCKED rooms. (I & the students' professor made triple sure they'd locked their rooms before we left for dinner that night! We both know the perils of int'l travel, but didn't expect this!) Hotel staff were not very helpful; simply shrugged their shoulders & tried to deny responsibility. Courbevoie police arrived about an hr later, examined the security recordings, found no evidence of the rooms being entered illegally. Interviews at the police station took FOUR hrs. On top of the 13hrs we'd already traveled & the jetlag, the guys were devastated, emotionally & physically.

As of 4/08, our students have not been reimbursed. The hotel continues to spin more red tape, insisting that they can only transfer the reimbursement funds electronically, IE, they want the students' parents to give them bank acct numbers. (Right, give acct #s to a hotel that ripped off their kids??? AND in this age of rampant ID theft??) Also, repeated calls from their prof have done nothing. A nasty travel horror story that continues to plague these poor guys.

Unique Quality: Desk staff can run the gamut from adequately helpful to extremely unhelpful & unfriendly. Safes in rooms cost extra, but the theft we exp'd during our stay makes this specific service seem unassured. Also, don't ask them to hold your passport: the staff will refuse to keep your passport in the hotel safe, either thru laziness or some ludicrous policy. The concierge we talked to wanted merely to throw them in a random drawer behind the desk.

The hotel is also located at least 1/2 mi from the La Defense Metro stop. Makes for a pleasant, head-clearing walk in the AM & another one at night BUT it still adds at least 30 mins to your travel time into the city.
