For around $160 a night, three star hotels in Paris are nothing like American hotels. We had a double occupancy room and were a little claustrophobic. The only good thing about traveling is you're never in your room.
The hotel staff provided a large breakfast every morning. That was great because a long day of sightseeing starts with a healthy meal. We were located just above a wonderful restaurant that served great food.
Directions: In the Opera district our hotel was near Sacre Couer, the Gard Nour (which is the train station), and the Opera. Also, we were a short walk from Montmartre (where the artist hang out and paint portraits).
