Good option for our 4 days in Paris

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on August 3, 2014

We just came from Paris a week ago and I have to write here about the Plaza Tour Eiffel Hotel.
First of all, al the personnel was really kind and helpful, especially Mr. Johann Ortiz from the reception, but not only him-congratulations to everyone.

It wasn’t the best hotel I stayed in, but comparing with the ones in Paris I have already tried, this is much better.
More than this the price was acceptable and the position unbeatable.
I was insisting to see the Tour Eiffel from my balcony and… I was lucky enough to have it.
Staying at the penthouse (6th floor), you may see Tour Eiffel, above the beautiful streets below.
It was a bit noisy as a restaurant is only meters away from the hotel entrance and, especially in the weekend, they extended the program to 12 o’clock or more.
It was my first “mansard” in Paris and I will go back anytime-no doubts about it.
The breakfast was not impressive but good enough for few days, fruits, sausages, ham, few types of cheese, yogurt, croissants etc.
The room was newly renovated, clean, new furniture, free WIFI.

The only bad think I’ll have to mention, is the smell in the room, coming from the AC system.
We kept the AC closed and the windows open and, for this period of the year this solution was good enough.
With the disadvantage that we know now the program of garbage trucks, the restaurant and the entire neighborhood :)

For the rest, please see my photos and feel free to ask me for details.

Wonderful Location in Paris

Best (5.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 2, 2009

From the moment we arrived until we left, we were treated very well. The staff here is wonderful. This is an excellent location, just a walk down a cobblestone street to the round about where the Trocadero is. From here, you have an stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, sidewalk cafes and crepe vendors. Just walk down the steps to the river and across the bridge and you at are the Eiffel tower. There is a boulangerie right next door to the hotel, which was wonderful for any treats we wanted to bring up to our room. I would most definetly stay here again!

Unique Quality: Our room did not have a view of tourist attractions but it did have a charming view of the cobblestone streets below where there were gift stores, cafes, bakeries. (Have to admit, I fantisized about buying the apartment across the street with all it's wrought iron balconies and floor to ceiling windows....until I saw that someone was moving in..sigh)
But this is so close to the Trocadero that I felt I couldn't have chosen better for my first time in Paris, without paying exorbitant prices.

Directions: One street down and you are at the Trocadero, full view of the Eiffel Tower
