The lovely and quaint Regent's Hotel
This is another gem tucked away on gorgeous rue Madame in the 6eme. This is a real local neighbourhood which is a pleasure to get to know.
The hotel is done is cheery shades of blue and yellow and while the rooms are a little cramped, does it really matter when you're staying in one of the lovliest areas of Paris? The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is very nice (book a room with a balcony to feel like you're staying less in a hotel and more in a friend's apartment).
Next door is a school for young kids so you might awaken to the screeches of happy little voices, but, after the bells rings, it's quiet. For the price and location, I was happy to put up with it.
The surrounding area is full of little alleys filled with atmospheric bars and restaurants, as well as the sweetest little shops and cafes. You are also a 2 minute walk to the spectacular Jardin de Luxemburg, and around the corner from the Metro.
And the best part of staying at the Regent's? Rocky, the gorgeous little dog who keeps guard at the door. He is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. Throw a cube of ice from the dispenser at reception and watch him go go go!
