Yoy get what you pay for...
Well, you get what you pay for...I got a decent price on the room from Expedia, and wasn't expecting much. The rooms are somewhat clean (floor was never vaccumed in a week's stay) bathroom is ok also. We requested a wake up call 6am and never got it. Don't count on it. You can't take food into your room, but we put it in our backpack and nobody saw it. The location is great, there are 2 subway stations within 5 min walk and another big one about 10 min away. Don't have breakfast there...there's a great bakery on the corner where you'll eat better and cheaper. Take the food and picnic at Jardin de Luxembourg, a few blocks away. It does have a tiny elevator so you don't have to carry your bags up the stairs.
