An extremely useful book!
by ctorres1979
A really great book to buy is the Time OUt Paris Book, its sort of geared towards people 20-40, with just tid bits about restaurants, bars, clubs, museums.., Not too much for those of us who don't have very much patience for reading but want to get to know the most important info

Amble along the different streets.
Just take in the sightsThere is so much to do and see and do. Too many to mention but the buildings are the most amazing sight.
Next time we visit we would like to go into the museums and galleries.

French children at school
by Jeannette1
My son attended this school years ago when we were living in France. This is the kindergarten class.
The school is located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, which is known as China Town because of its large Asian population.
Changeable Weather - Pack an Umbrella
by Rixie
I'd advise packing a small travel umbrella. The weather in Paris, even in the summer, was very changeable -- incredibly hot and muggy one day, cool and rainy the next. The only umbrellas we could find in the shops were luxury men's brollies priced at 42 Euros, or golf umbrellas, much too wide to fit on the narrow sidewalks, so we ended up walking in the rain.
I also wished that I had brought a 24-hour digital watch, which would have saved me the trouble of translating opening times and train timetables in my head.
