Convenient to Montparnasse station

3 stars hotel right across from the Tour Montparnasse and straigh out to the gare montparnasse. As usual the rooms are small but the service and location is good. You have ample bus terminal, outside the train station to your left coming out;and plenty of metro,RER and trains inside including the TGV that I take always as it is now my entry point to Paris by train.

this one was convenient and full of restos/bar around, some of them my favorites when used to have an office nearby in rue de depart. However, this one was very Noisy ,even the water flushes were heard and showers, the breakfast limited in a small room, and of course the room small with Windows given to a tree full courtyard that you could see the kitchen from your window! Not the type of hotel I would recommend personally or with families. Like i said, the only good point is that it was across from the Montparnasse transport hub and right between resto Montparnasse 1900 and La Marine, institutions in the area.

Unique Quality: very convenience off the train station and connection to all of Paris by bus and metro. free WiFi, and AC, international TV channels and Mini bar! Restos galore just out the door, my area for years now.

Directions: right out of gare montparnasse walk up to place 8 mai 1945 turn left cross the street and the hotel is between the restos le montparnasse 1900 and la Marine.

Hotel Terminus Montparnasse

There are two hotels in one here; either the section with an elevator and nicer rooms, or the other regular ones. I've stayed in both, and here we did not suffer with lack of space, which is such an advantage for Paris. New, modern, clean rooms. Ask for a quiet one not facing Bd. du Montparnasse.

Unique Quality: Surrounded by restaurants, shops at rue de Rennes and a mall with Galleries Lafayette across the street, close to La Poste (the post-office) and with a subway entrance right in front of the hotel's door (Montparnasse Bienvenüe, lines 12, 4, 13 and 6), which can be very convenient. And if you read The Day of the Jackal, be aware that the hotel lies in that Place du 18 Juin, so you'll probably stay at the same room where the Jackal tried to shoot De Gaulle!!

Directions: Bd. du Montparnasse and Rue de Rennes
