HI,
Best way and the cheapest is to take the RER B line and change at Chatelet for the RER A line direction Boissy Saint Leger and get off at Joinville. Although Chatelet is a trial with the corridors and distance, but this only makes one change. I believe 1 RER ticket is 8.70 euros.
Another way is to take the bus no. 351 (stop just outside term. 2)to Nation and then get the RER A line to Joinville dir. Boissy. This is much longer especially at that time of the morning.

Hi. If you go to the RATP website, you can do a search. The site is http://www.ratp.com/
The easiest way is to travel on the RER from CDG to Joinville Le Point. S/he will have to change from the RER B to the RER A at Chatelet-Les Halles. From CDG to Joinville Le Point isn't too difficult a journey, but it could take close to an hour (depending connections). Personaly I think the worst part is navigating the pasages of Chatelet-Les Halles. S/he will have to keep her/his eyes open on the signage (and on her/his belongings).
I did a quick search and found this -
Depart at 08:05 from Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 1 - RER
Take the RER B in the direction of Saint-Remy-les-Chevreuse
Arrive Chatelet-Les Halles at 08:41
Depart Chatelet-Les Halles 08:47
Take the RER A in the direction of Boissy-Saint-Leger
Arrive Joinville-le-Pont at 09:03
There is also a departure from Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 1 - RER at 08:12; 08:20; 08:27 etc.
Note, when s/he changes trains at Chatelet-Les Halles s/he must ensure that s/he gets an RER train in the direction of Boissy-Saint-Leger and not Marne-la-Vallée. On a RER map, the line for Marne-la-Vallée is marked as A1, and Boissy-Saint-Leger is A2.

Forgot to say, the direction of the A2 train could also be La Varenne - Chennevieres. Some trans will run to the end of the line (Boissy-Saint-Leger) and other will run to La Varenne - Chennevieres. Your friend will be OK with trains in either of those directions.

Well, when I visited my friend who was with ERASMUS in Paris, I booked an airport shuttle and it was a very easy and fast way to travel, easier than public transport but of course it wasn't the cheapest way!
If you can afford it and you want to spare time, there is a door to door service: www.airportways.com

Travel Tips for Paris
Walking around Paris
by bookworminc
I always recommended these tips to my visitors when I lived in Paris: You might think of buying a Paris Visite transport pass which is less than 25 Euros. This allows for travel on the Paris Metro, buses, the RER train and even outside Paris. Also purchase a Paris 2 day Paris pass to visit museums. For example the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay and the Centre Pompidous Museum of Modern Art are must see places when visiting Paris. If you have some time left visit in the Marais district, Place de Vosges. I lived there.
I hope this is helpful. When you are back from traveling pick up my favorite novel, Snowfall in Paris: A Young Woman's Pursuit of Adventure by Josette Laurence. It's a novel that will inspire all travel lovers to keep on traveling to discover the beauty of the earth. Recommend it to your friends. Relaxing in the park in the middle of la Place de Vosges. This square is full of history. It has symmetrical houses build of brick and
stone. It was built by King Henry the IV. Unique to this place is that the writer, Victor Hugo, resided there.

The elegant quartiers

In case you cannot afford to stay at the Ritz or the George V or the Plaza Athenée (the flowery hotel on the picture), at least don't leave Paris without seeing some of its fanciest streets, squares or neighborhoods. The area between the Champs-Élysées and the river Seine is incredibly beautiful, with those ultra-chic avenues such as the Montaigne (with all the most famous fashion and jewelry brands).
The French LOVE their pets!

You literally see dogs of all sizes, shapes and color everywhere. It did not become apparent until we saw this scene on the Champs Elysee. They are not obnoxious dogs, or even overbearing. All of the canines that we encountered were well-behaved and just fit into the scene.

"Theatre du Petit Monde" was started as an acting/performing school for children by Roland Pilain in 1931.
.
Among its "graduates" have been such illuminaries as Charles Aznavour! If you check for the online resumes of French actors you will see references to this institution. It was difficult to tell whether the school was still active or whether this was a window display in honor of the school, but, in any case, the latest reference I found to it on the web was in the late 1980s.
.
It is located near the St-Sebastien-Froissart metro station in the Marais.
